my story

There are so many people that helped me get here if not for these people i would not be here today lord savior jesus christ, for saving me even though sometimes i question things and say stuff that i should not say sometimes at I so grateful and humble that my lord and savior through all of my struggles never walked away from me, I love to thank my family when I was little i had so many problems and i did some things that i am not proud of, i am who i am today because of my family and thank them putting up with me and there is two more people that i would love thank is debbie and joseph smith when i was 16 years old i started my first job debbie was like a teacher to me when we first met  there so many things that i learned from this women and over time debbie and me became family debbie told me once that she does not allow many in and she let me in. thank you debbie for letting me in and there is joseph smith when i first met joseph i was mad at the world and when i open up to jo about my issues even though jo did not have to listen to me he did and took me under his wing and helped me every brick wall i had or i was having something in my personal life and was always right there when i needed him and for that i say thank you brother , three more people that i would love to thank is jack mcwilliams this guy was very first teacher that i ever had that was a huge impact on my in a lot of ways.  He really helped me to read, write and do math. He took a personal interest in me and troubles that I would have during school.  I remember one time i said something I shouldn’t have said in class and he took me aside to let me know that it was inappropriate.  He was the first one to really show me he cared and get down on the level of friend and teacher.

Derrick Poff is another person I would like to thank.  As with Jack Mr. Poff was one of the first people to give me the opportunity to get out of the room we were in.  He had faith in me and gave me a shot to succeed. He gave me a lot of advice on life after school and in high school.  He was a teacher and a friend and always took the time to talk with me and let me express myself and took care of me and my friends on a personal level and as a mentor.  For that I would like to thank you and tell you that I would not be here if it were not for you.

Last but not least I would like to thank Dianna Gray.  This woman has had a huge impact on me.  She taught me a lot and would talk to me if I were upset and would really take time to work through my problems.  Ms. Gray would go above and beyond to take care of me and make sure I would succeed in school and in my personal life.  For that I will always be grateful and I love you for all the time you took to help and support me.

Also I would like to say congratulations to all of my classmates with the year that we have had we made it here and for that I say awesome that being said there are lot of things that i have changed in my life since i started school but biggest difference jacob in middle school and jacob now is more independent and more responsible and more mature. I used to be really clumsy when it came to some things. I can remember when I was 14 years old my uncle took me and my cousin to the lake. I always had to sit down. When I went to stand up I would almost fell back. An example of this is when i would stand up on the boat to go to use the restroom he would have to hold to me so I wouldn’t fall overboard. i can promise you this my balance has improved that being said    when i got to high school i was like a fish out of water some people told me that they would rather me go the learning academy and i said no and that also being said i will say this to all the people who thought that i would not make it i say this Thank you for being my biggest motivation this is something that i want to tell you all the problems that i faced along the way bullying and depression and my family getting covid and being told that i was label and losing my mother

what got me through all this no matter what you can’t give up just because today was bad that does not mean tomorrow will be bad. One of the biggest things that got me through these storms was my dream and that’s the best part for me so if anybody here is either facing problems or batting i will tell you this no matter what don’t give up on your dreams and keep fighting because if you do that i promise you will succeed.

When I was little I had so many problems.  I was born premature, my childhood was rough and I go into trouble a lot.  One of the biggest differences in elementary school and today is my maturity.  I have learned to take responsibility for my actions and not look for someone to blame or to take the blame.  There are a lot of things that I have been able to overcome.  I have been able to overcome depression, COVID and my personal life.  The relationship with my mother and father.  All of these things are what got me her today.  You hear people say, what if you could go back in time and change things?  I would really change anything because all of these experiences are what make me who I am today.  Sounds easy to say but I feel the past is like a tattoo, it sticks on you.  The past is like a seed planted and is now a huge tree.  It has to go through the changes to become that beautiful tree you see today. GOing through all of those stages we have to go through.  All of these stages are a blessing in disguise.  We may not like it as we go through it but as we look back we appreciate the process and the growth we earn from them.

The life after high school, you always here, what do you want to do well I have always been somebody that plans ahead my goals are be a part of the gaming business and to have a family and to open up my own business so i would encourage everybody here do not give up on your dreams because we all have talent we all have something to bring to the table my best friend levi bargo  tells me sometimes that in a good way that i am really hard to be friends with at end of day i may not like everybody in the class of 2021 I will say this I do respect everyone one of you because all you guys made here and I believe in my heart that all classmates will be very successful and god bless everyone of you guys lets us changed the world until we meet again.

I would like to give personal advice to all of my bullies right now.  I don’t hate any of you, I feel sorry for you right now. My door is alway open to communication for everyone.  You must work with me as I cannot do this on my own.  We all have our own insecurities but talking to someone about it is the only way to work through your problems. For example there was the girl that I liked and I always enjoyed talking to her but when I wasn’t in the room she was one of the students that was talking bad about me and picking on me.  But the one thing I would like to say about this girl is that she is smart, in college and I am proud of her despite the fact that she would treat a person as she did.  I am not the kind of person who holds grudges and likes to see bad things happen to other people.  I believe that everyone should take that philosophy seriously and run with it.  This would make the world a better place for everyone.  I would like to say just one more thing about this whole bullying thing just for my own sake.  To all of the people that made fun of me and bullied me,  I want you to know that I hope you have the most success in life and be happy as you continue to grow.  I want to be the first person to congratulate you on all your success and know that I want you to do better and I want you to be better and have all the happiness that you can.  God Bless You!
